News Detail—Jeb Bush & John Kasich

Two candidates for the Republican nomination for president worked for Lehman Brothers in 2008.  The collapse of Lehman is described as touching off the Great Recession in September, 2008.

Jeb Bush worked for Lehman Brothers and its successor company, Barclays, from 2007 through 2014.  Bush earned $14 million from the companies.

John Kasich worked for Lehman Brothers from 2001 until 2008.  In 2008, Kasich earned just under $1.4 million.
